Hosta 'August Moon'
AWARD WINNER
A classic gold that actually dates back to 1969, but was finally registered in 1996. This award winner is slug resistant and takes more sun than most. 'August Moon' features attractive corrugated foliage of good substance. The leaves are rounded, 9.5" long and 8" wide, classified as 'broadly oblong-ovate' shaped. It is quite fertile, producing many seed pods just above the foliage. It is the parent for numerous sports and offspring. A classic that is the foundation for every collection and a great plant for beginners. (Langfelder/Summer/Ruh 1996)
