Hosta 'Blue Lightning'
A rare fertile streaker!
Hosta 'Blue Lightning' is a beautiful cultivar with blue-green leaves that are heavily streaked in yellow. The streaks turn creamy white later in the season. 'Blue Lightning' is fertile, often passing its streaky nature on to its seedlings. The same beautiful irregular coloration on its foliage also appears on its scapes and seed pods. A fast growing member of the 'Blue Umbrellas' family. Mature leaves measure 12" long by 9" wide leaves. Very limited. We find it to be strong growing and very fertile. (Walter's Gardens 2005)
