Hosta 'Calm before the Storm'
NEW FOR 2025!
Hosta 'Calm before the Storm'. A new unique red hybrid from Bob. Imagine this... a hosta that emerges bright yellow with a little white wax frosting, then gradually turns blue! The first of its kind! Late in the season the blue fades to green, all the time with red stems. Wide, red-purple petioles push color right up into the base of the leaves. Its sieboldiana heritage gives excellent substance, cupping and corrugation at maturity. A good hyridizer too. (R. Solberg)
