BLOOMS EARLY AND OFTEN
Coreopsis grandiflora 'Rising Sun'. Also known as Tickseed, this hardy perennial features golden-yellow, doubled flowers with a mahagony-red eye. An award winner that performs wonderfully and is the first coreopsis to bloom each year. Plant begins blooming in June and will continue all season if deadheaded.
Coreopsis are easy perennials to grow, rarely bothered by insects or disease. They are deer resistant. Tickseeds tolerate the hot summer sun, poor soil and short periods of dryness. A native to North America that has been recently bred into a number of colors. The flowers are great additions to fresh cut bouquets. A great plant for beginners and a standard of all butterfly gardens.
All plants are dropping leaves as the season ends. Most plants are shipped without foliage.
