Part sun to full shade. [18" tall x 24" wide]. USDA Hardiness Zones 4-9.
Fern athyrium 'Ursula's Red'. A newer addition to the 'Japanese Painted Fern' family. This strong grower emerges silver, highlighted with wine-red hues. The rich red color often fades in the summer heat, with the plant more closely resembling its parent. With the color change it is kind of like getting "2 for 1".
Kindly note: disease-free vegetatively produced ferns usually take a few years to display their full splendor. Our 2-3 year old plants look really great but will need another season or two to show their complete uniqueness, size, texture and color.
