Hosta 'Halcyon'
A Classic
Hosta 'Halcyon'. A classic blue with good substance. The thick, smooth, slightly wavy blue-green leaves measure 8" long by 5.5" wide. One of Mr. Smith's early crosses of 'Tardiflora' x sieboldiana 'Elegans'. Considered by many to be THE blue of the hosta world. This historic plant was developed in 1961, but not registered until 1988. Fertile, utilized by many breeders to create wonderful long lasting new specimens. (Eric Smith 1988)
