Hosta 'Vulcan' is an interesting new white-centered sport of 'Captain Kirk'. Thin gold streaks appear where the dark green margin overlaps with the white center. The color pattern reminds one a little of hosta 'Striptease', which happens to be in the same family line. White flower scapes with light lavender flowers - a fantastic display! A vigorous grower too! The foliage possesses better than average substance and the leaves look great all season long. The white is bright and alluring. This one is destined for greatness. (Hansen 2006)
DESIGNER HOSTA: This variety joins a select few other hostas in the exclusive "Designer" category. This plant has distinctive garden presence and exemplary landscape performance. The foliage is of good substance and demonstrates superior resistance to garden pests. This plant grows well in all parts of the country. A premium plant that looks great all season long!
