Full sun. [24-32" tall].
USDA Hardiness Zones 5-8. Blooms mid summer.
French Lavender. Lavandula x intermedia 'Provence' is a beautiful herb with many uses. This herb is used in perfumes, soaps, sachets and potpouri. It also adds a unique flavor to food. 'Provence' is the sweetest, strongest variety, featuring solid violet blossoms with light purple highlights. The leaves are longer, wider and grayer than the English variety. The foliage grows 8-12" tall, with the valuable flowers towering 12-16" above the plant.
RECIPE: Lavender Lemonade
Steep ½ cup dried lavender flowers in a quart of boiling water for about 15 minutes. Strain and use liquid to make up part of the water in a lemonade mix. Delightful flavor and fragrance! (works for limeade and fruit punch too!)
All plants are dropping leaves as the season ends. Most plants are shipped without foliage.
