Platycodon 'Mariesii'

BALLOON FLOWER

Platycodon grandiflorus 'Mariesii' is a charming, long lived clumping perennial. It is late to emerge in spring but makes up for it by having a long bloom period. It features rounded, puffed up flower buds that open to bell shaped purple-blue flowers. Looks great as a cut flower, but leave a few for the butterflies. Also known as Balloon Flower or Chinese Bellflower.

MATURE HEIGHT: 12-24".

MATURE SPREAD: 12-18".

HARDINESS ZONES: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9.

FLOWER: Mid season.
