Hosta 'Raspberry Sundae'
It's back!
Hosta 'Raspberry Sundae'. A special introduction featuring pointed creamy-white leaves with irregular green margins. It is the red of the stems that runs up into the top side of the leaves that makes this one so very special! The colorful foliage is of good substance. Please note that due to the large amount of white in the leaves and the thicker substance this variety is relatively slow growing.
Terra Nova's description: "Lovely compact Hosta with beautifully variegated leaves and striking deep burgundy petioles, leaf bases, and flower stalks. Terra Nova worked on this one for many years perfecting the combination of variegation and introducing the red pigmentation to the foliage. Flower color is deep lavender purple in August." PPAF.
