EARLY TO MID SEASON BLOOMER
Astilbe 'Radius' is a large impressive looking selection. This outstanding new hybrid forms a large robust clump similar to A. chinensis types but with more refined (not coarse) green foliage. The new foliage has a pretty reddish copper cast in the springtime. Leafy burgundy red scapes carry triangular plumes of burgundy red buds which open to bright red flowers in early to mid summer. Although any sun exposure is ok, partial sun is ideal.
MATURE HEIGHT: 26".
MATURE SPREAD: 24".
HARDINESS ZONES: 4,5,6,7,8,9.
FLOWER: Early to mid season.
SUN EXPOSURE: Full sun to mostly shady.
SIZE SHIPPED: 2.5" pot.
