Echinacea 'Tomato Soup'
This is a "green thumb" plant. Hybrid echinacea are not recommended for beginners. Special care is required the first year. Prior experience with echinacea is highly recommended!
Echinacea 'Tomato Soup' is FANTASTIC!! This beauty, introduced in 2009, features warm tomato red flowers up to 6" wide. A stunning plant that branches well, producing lots of flowers. A strong grower that flowers till frost. PP#19427.
Echinacea 'Tomato Soup' belongs to the "Prairie Stars" series of coneflowers from Terra Nova Nurseries. You can count on multi-branching plants with lots of non-fading flowers on strong stems. "Prairie Stars" mature into mid sized plants that produce excellent cut flowers. Superior plants for special gardens.
'Tomato Soup' differs from other similar varieties in the following ways:
♦ Taller than 'Dixie Scarlet' & 'Sombrero Salsa Red'.
♦ Shorter than 'Hot Lava'.
♦ Taller and less recurved than 'Firebird'.
MATURE HEIGHT: 32".
MATURE SPREAD: 32".
HARDINESS ZONES: 4,5,6,7,8,9.
FLOWER: Mid to late season.
SUN EXPOSURE: Full sun to mostly sunny.
