Heuchera 'Black Taffeta'
Tolerates heat and humidity!
Heuchera 'Black Taffeta'. Alluring with its dark, near black, silky, shiny, ruffled leaves. The added vigor of heuchera villosa to its genes makes it super tolerant of heat and humidity. Forms a tight mound of relatively large leaves, in perfect proportion to the plant size. Terra Nova calls it "Elegant". We call it "Spectacular!" PP#26162.
This plant is a Heuchera villosa hybrid. The villosa species is a robust grower with an increased tolerance of high heat and humidity over other species. Most villosas produce flowers in midsummer, though they are usually grown more for their fantastic foliage. H. villosa is native to the southeastern United States. If you live in the south this plant is a great choice for your garden!
