Heuchera 'Electra'
ADD SOME BRIGHTNESS TO YOUR SHADY GARDEN
Heuchera 'Electra'. This newer beauty features bright golden-yellow leaves with blood red veining. A vigorous grower that forms an attractive colorful clump in no time. In fall the leaf color changes to tan but the red veining remains. This selection prefers a shady area and is tolerant of heat and humidity than most. An herbaceous perennial from the Saxifragaceae family, also known as Alum Root. A 2010 Terra Nova introduction. PP#21856.
This plant is a Heuchera villosa hybrid. The villosa species is a robust grower with an increased tolerance of high heat and humidity over other species. Most villosas produce flowers in midsummer, though they are usually grown more for their fantastic foliage. H. villosa is native to the southeastern United States. If you live in the south this plant is a great choice for your garden!
