Aster 'Wood's Purple'
Aster dumosus 'Woods Purple' is a little aster that features loads of semi-double purple flowers in late summer. A prolific bloomer that exhibits excellent mildew and rust resistance. No staking is required with this well behaved perennial. Asters are native to North America and grow nicely in pots. They make long lasting cut flowers, and are a nice addition to any butterfly garden, adding fresh color when many plants are done blooming.

Asters are sun loving perennials (they come back every year). Asters are native to North America. They make great fresh cut flower bouquets. Sometimes referred to as New York Asters, they grow nicely in containers. Butterflies find the blossoms irresistible. Asters bloom profusely in late Summer. Full sunshine is ideal. The Wood's family of asters are special in that they remain compact and the folilage is very disease-resistant. Only reproduced vegetatively so that the superior qualities can be maintained. These are not inferior seedlings. If you want the best you have come to the right place!
Our plants have been over-wintered here in the upper Midwest to ensure strength and hardiness and to encourage blooming the first year in your garden. Our plants are grown outdoors where Mother Nature helps us produce the best plants possible. Our potted plants can be planted at your convenience, just keep them outdoors and watered until you are ready to put them into the ground. Never grow this plant indoors. We include complete planting instructions with all orders. This plant is ready for your garden!
